Defensive Security – SOC 1

SOC Level 1 Path is an entry-level course that is specifically built to help one become a Junior Security Analyst. This path will help the user gain the basic skills necessary to work in a Security Operations Center-SOC. Some of the topics included are log analysis, threat detection, incident response, Splunk, and Wireshark.

The training is divided into a few sections; each one of them consists of several rooms and tasks to be performed. Based on previous knowledge and private study time, the path usually would take 30 hours to complete and contains 12 sessions. All the sessions are then divided into particular tasks or topics, each of which includes a real-world scenario and guided labs so the students get practical experience in those fields.

This track aims at learners interested in basic knowledge in SOC solutions and processes, either because they want to contribute to its development or because they plan to obtain certain industry certifications.
